We earn referral fees on some links. Rankings are deterministic from price data, with no knowledge of affiliate status.
How affiliate links work
Some links to exchanges, primarily on guide pages, route through the exchange's own referral program. When you create an account after clicking one, we receive a small referral commission. The exchange does not pay us per click, per visit, or per query.
Independence of rankings
The Opta comparison engine ranks providers by total cost (fees, spread, and network charges), computed live from public exchange APIs. The engine has no knowledge of which providers we have an affiliate relationship with. The comparison output for any (source, destination, amount) is the same whether or not affiliate revenue is involved.
If two paths tie on total cost, the tiebreaker is settlement time, then provider alphabetical. Never affiliate status.
